Job Overview

The Television Multimedia Reporter plays a crucial role in crafting, filming, and editing news segments on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture, compose, and edit news segments for the station's broadcasts, whether in-studio or on location.
  • Collaborate closely with News Producers to brainstorm and develop compelling story ideas.
  • Deliver finished segments that uphold accuracy, journalistic integrity, and fairness.
  • Provide live reports during broadcasts and breaking news events as required, both in the studio and on-site.
  • Organize, conduct, and film interviews effectively.
  • Create ongoing special series and 'sweeps' stories.
  • Represent NBCUniversal at community events.
  • Foster relationships within the community to generate story leads.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in reporting, filming, writing, and video editing.
  • Proficient in Spanish with excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in enterprise reporting is essential.
  • Previous live reporting experience is required.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must submit a resume/CV.
  • Willingness to work in Orlando and travel to nearby areas as necessary.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, varying shifts (including nights and weekends), and respond to emergencies based on news coverage.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Complete fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory.
  • Ability to provide a portfolio or reel of work samples, if available.
  • Acceptance of NBCUniversal's dispute resolution program is required.
