About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team at BLANKSLATE Partners. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and leadership to drive the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, finance, tax, treasury, and risk management.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with our CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company's financial strategy, including long-term planning, capital allocation, and investment decisions.
  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those specific to public companies.
  • Capital Markets: Lead efforts related to equity and debt financing, including IPO preparation and execution if applicable.
  • Grant Management: Oversee the management and reporting of grants within the US, ensuring compliance with all requirements and maximizing funding opportunities.
  • Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Investor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing investors, ensuring clear communication of the company's financial health and growth prospects.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably with high-tech/R&D start-up companies with a strong growth trajectory.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and lead growth management initiatives.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and lead with credibility, integrity, and trust.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range, options, and bonus and benefits packages. The base salary will be in the $250-350K range with a competitive total rewards package.
