Position Overview:
Are you seeking a fulfilling and adaptable role that allows you to make a significant impact on the lives of young children and their families? Join our team of passionate professionals at Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services Inc., where we specialize in providing essential early intervention services to children from birth to three years old.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive developmental evaluations and deliver speech therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
2. Adhere to each child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and collaborate with families to create effective strategies for achieving developmental milestones.
3. Employ a family-centered coaching approach to enhance caregivers' skills and confidence, ensuring that progress is effectively generalized.
4. Provide therapy in natural settings, including homes, daycare facilities, and community environments; virtual service options are also available.
5. Perform re-assessments and prepare progress reports, typically on a bi-annual basis.
6. Uphold confidentiality regarding children and families in compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech Language Pathology license.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is required; early intervention experience is preferred.
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Bilingual candidates, particularly in Spanish, are encouraged to apply.
