About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the operations team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, and that a safe and healthy work environment is maintained.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain effective relationships with senior management, R&D, commercial, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to the transfer of new products/processes from lab scale R&D to full scale production.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required, advanced degree preferred, and seven to ten years related experience and demonstrable success in an engineering or production management role preferably in a chemical plant environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership, excellent supervisory skills, verbal and written communication, interpersonal savvy, effective team building, planning, ability to effectively prioritize production issues.
