Position Overview

QinetiQ is looking for a Senior Budget Analyst to assist our client at the under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (USD(I&S)). The ideal candidate will provide expertise in relevant budget and resource management principles and practices for both developmental and operational programs within the USDI&S portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Delivering expertise in budget and resource management principles for both developmental and operational initiatives.
  • Demonstrating knowledge, skills, and abilities in the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution phases of the Department of Defense budget.
  • Utilizing, adapting, and developing budget and resource analytical tools, techniques, and processes for technical and administrative support activities.
  • Collaborating as part of a team and leading initiatives to address complex challenges.
  • Evaluating products and/or procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles, internal controls, and multi-tiered system application standards.
  • Applying previous experience with Defense Agency initiatives to generate funding documents.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense standard financial forms.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience with applicable financial systems.
  • Possession of a Top Secret clearance with SCI.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to engage actively with colleagues, program leadership, and clients, including delivering presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with OSD, Pentagon, or Service Headquarters staff.
  • Military experience is advantageous.
