The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible clinical endocrinologist with a focus on obesity management to join our team as an assistant or associate professor. Our Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism is part of the Department of Internal Medicine in the College of Medicine.
About the RoleAs a clinical faculty member, you will attend to the needs of patients with a variety of endocrine and metabolic problems and provide subspecialty training for physicians interested in diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolism. You will also conduct research in bone and mineral metabolism, osteoporosis, thyroid, diabetes, obesity, and lipids.
Responsibilities- 90% clinical duties, including 7 half-day outpatient clinics divided between obesity and general endocrinology clinic
- Attend inpatient consults for up to 3 months per year
- On call duties for holidays and weekends distributed equally among all members of the clinical faculty
