Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Scientist specializing in Oncology to contribute to our cutting-edge research initiatives. This role offers an opportunity for professional growth and development within a dynamic environment.
- Compensation: $35-45/hr based on experience
- Employment Type: Contract to Hire
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects involving Immunofluorescence tissue-based IHC, focusing on assay design, development, validation, and execution for biomarker detection in oncology trials.
- Design assays, optimize antibody conditions for experiments, and present data independently and accurately.
- Troubleshoot and resolve scientific challenges effectively.
- Deliver high-quality results while enhancing productivity metrics.
- Collaborate with various technical teams to share resources and provide expertise.
- Mentor and train junior staff in laboratory techniques and assay performance.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and editing of contracts and grant proposals.
- Contribute to writing and publishing scientific papers and abstracts to uphold the company’s scientific standards.
- Identify and implement emerging laboratory techniques to enhance research capabilities.
- Present research findings to clients and at relevant scientific conferences.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Cellular/Cancer Biology, Immunology, Stem Cell Biology, or related fields with a minimum of 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Strong expertise in CTC-based immunofluorescent and tissue-based immunohistochemistry (IHC or mIF) applications.
- Experience with Halo analysis software and Akoya technologies for image microscopy analysis is essential.
- Familiarity with GT450, Lecia Bondrx, and microscopy techniques is advantageous.
- Proven skills in monitoring cell-mediated immunity through various assays, including flow cytometry and ELISpot.
- In-depth knowledge of current GLP and/or ISO/CAP/CLIA standards.
- Experience in FISH, ISH, CTC, oncology, immunology, or related fields with a focus on cellular analysis.
- Proficient in using GraphPad Prism software.
