Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Veeco. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality improvement and risk mitigation, with experience in collaborating with suppliers and contract manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Enable cost down and part quality improvement initiatives in partnership with supply chain and engineering.
Participate in cross-functional supplier management teams, focused on selecting and improving suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Create supplier quality improvement plans, perform supplier audits, implement closed-loop corrective actions, and generate quality metrics and reports.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience as a Supplier Quality, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineer, or an MS and 3 years of experience, is required. Any of the following certifications are preferred: ASQ QE; ASQ CQM/OE; ASQ/RAB Lead Auditor; ASQ QA, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
