Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Execute Maintenance Programs: Assist in effectively planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs to ensure the hotel meets the highest standards of appearance and functionality.
  • Establish Priorities: Help establish priorities for total property maintenance needs, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are properly maintained.
  • Supervise Engineering Operations: Supervise the day-to-day operations of Engineering, including the maintenance of grounds, meeting rooms, public spaces, kitchen, and food outlets.
  • Technical Liaison: Act as technical liaison for all departments on property, providing expert advice and guidance on maintenance-related matters.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations 24/7, ensuring that the hotel remains operational and safe for guests.
  • Inventory Management: Manage parts, supplies, and equipment inventories, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for maintenance tasks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the hotel remains compliant with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Employee Support: Verify that all employees have the proper supplies, equipment, training, and uniforms to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional field; training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
  • Experience: 2 years or more of hotel experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in at least one of the following: Mechanical, HVAC-R or Electrical.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Physical Requirements: Frequently sitting, perform desk-based computer tasks, lift/carry/push/pull objects /kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
