Aquatics Lifeguard Position

Manhattan Youth is seeking certified lifeguards to work in our aquatics team at our Downtown Community Center.

As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for monitoring the safety and well-being of patrons in the pool facility. You must be punctual, reliable, and have a strong desire to work with children and families.

This is a part-time position with flexible hours. Our pool is open Monday-Friday 8:30am-9:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:30am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet all members to the facility and create a warm, welcoming environment
  • Enforce all aquatics facility policies, rules and regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in and around the aquatics facility
  • Assist children in our after-school programs
  • Wear proper uniform and be alert and ready to respond at all times
Qualifications:
  • Certified Lifeguard (Must hold valid American Red Cross Lifeguard certifications, or equivalent as recognized by the NYC-DOH)
  • CPR/AED certification, renewed within last 12 months
  • Ability to maintain a positive and energetic attitude and contribute to a positive team culture
