Position Overview:Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
The Financial Controller will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight for the Watson Bowman Acme Corp. operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring adherence to all Corporate Controlling Policies.
- Managing the monthly closing process in compliance with established timelines, including the preparation and presentation of monthly P&L statements and variance analyses to local management and Corporate Controlling.
- Compiling and reporting the business unit's income statement on a monthly basis.
- Preparing quarterly Sustainability and Operational Reports.
- Generating quarterly financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
- Analyzing and interpreting statistical data for the monthly reporting of key financial indicators (KPIs).
- Overseeing local accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions while monitoring working capital to meet targets.
- Ensuring accurate general ledger coding for all transactions and approving or rejecting transactions as necessary.
- Updating inventory costs and managing product costing, including monthly reviews of absorption variances.
- Coordinating annual budget activities and monthly forecasting.
- Collaborating with department managers to establish financial goals and utilizing reporting tools to assess performance, while partnering to enhance financial outcomes and operational efficiencies.
- Conducting regular reviews of operational practices and implementing best practices.
- Working alongside the sales team to provide timely sales and margin analysis, offering financial management support focused on sales growth and profitability.
- Acting as the liaison with the corporate finance team to manage key business functions.
- Overseeing customer incentive programs, independent representative commissions, and company sales incentives.
- Managing all capital projects, from development to approval and monitoring expenditures.
- Supervising the annual financial audit in collaboration with external auditors.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and timely reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant accounting certifications preferred.
- Experience with SAP and Hyperion is advantageous.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience managing a finance team.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to travel for business as needed.
