Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Home and Auto Sales Specialist to join our team at American Home Insurance Agency, Inc. This role encompasses sales, communication, and administrative skills to sell and process insurance business primarily for customers of Richmond American Homes companies.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity in the industry where every new home buyer is a potential client for us. We'll provide you with regular leads, and it's up to you to close the deal. Your main responsibility will be to develop new relationships by demonstrating our value as an independent agent and closing the new home buyers' Home and Auto business.

The successful candidate will require prompt and effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with potential clients, underwriters, peers, and company personnel. They will also need to sell additional lines of insurance to current clients and those attained through our prospecting and marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Connect with potential clients via phone and email using Richmond American Homes leads to sell insurance products.
  • Determine the best product offerings and pricing fit for each new opportunity by working with appointed insurance carriers.
  • Create insurance proposals for prospective clients and present coverage options.
  • Closing new home and auto policies for Richmond American Homes homebuyers.
Additional Job Functions
  • Rounding out all accounts - Auto, Umbrella, Life, etc.
  • Processing all business sold in a timely manner: Completing documentation requirements, producing evidence of insurance certificates, entering production into the vision system on deadline, and providing required documentation as requested by the management team.
  • Focusing on obtaining ongoing insurance education, knowledge, and experience while maintaining required licenses.
  • Supporting and participating in our marketing/prospecting activities.
Requirements
  • A college degree is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalency is required.
  • A minimum of two years of insurance sales experience or other professional services sales experience deemed suitable is necessary.
  • Experience working in a professional business environment is mandatory.
Benefits
  • A competitive compensation structure, including a base salary of $33,000-38,000 plus commission, estimated annual compensation of $70,000-$100,000.
