We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Structural Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed civil and structural design and construction drawings for industrial, petrochemical, refining, and energy sectors clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Civil/Structural Engineers and Senior-Level Designers to produce high-quality civil and structural design and construction drawings.
  • Coordinate designs and details with other disciplines to produce complete and accurate multi-discipline 3-D models and project drawing packages.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and travel to client facilities to gather existing drawings, reports, and documentation.
  • Safely gather field data in operating facilities, which may require climbing structures, using body harnesses and lanyards, and entering OSHA-defined Confined Spaces.
  • Comply with all safety requirements and security protocols.
  • Support the development of Junior Designers and perform design drawing checks as needed.
  • Take responsibility for adhering to project budgets and schedules.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in current design, drafting, and software packages such as LFM, CAD Worx Structure, and AutoCAD 3D.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent work ethic and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Quality/detail oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of civil and structural design details and procedures.
  • Able to obtain necessary safety certifications and clear background checks.
  • 4+ years of experience in drafting and design.
  • 2-year degree in computer drafting/design preferred.
Reporting Requirements:

Reports to Design Coordinator or Civil Structural Engineering Lead.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs at times.
