Job Summary

The Drafter will play a crucial role in supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by providing drafting and design support during the planning, design, and construction of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the drafting portion of the project.
  2. Contribute to quantity takeoff activities.
  3. Collaborate with the construction team during the execution stage.
  4. Identify technical risks and participate in risk report preparation.
  5. Review project budget forecasts and provide technical input.
  6. Establish and implement design management strategies.
  7. Support the project assistance team in resolving nonconformities and unexpected events.
  8. Collaborate with the technical department and other departments.
  9. Ensure the accurate transmission of design information to the project team.
Requirements
  1. Effective communication skills in a professional and positive manner.
  2. Proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  3. Ability to work as a team member and independently to achieve goals.
  4. Adaptability in a changing work environment.
  5. Collaboration and teamwork skills.
  6. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including overtime.
Qualifications

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 3+ years of structural engineering/drafting experience and proficiency in MicroStation and REVIT.
