Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech and language therapy services to students in a middle school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify communication issues in students and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Intervention and Improvement: Utilize evidence-based methods to enhance students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement strategies that support student participation in the classroom and social activities.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal results.
  • Educational Guidance: Provide guidance to parents, teachers, and staff on ways to support and improve students' communication skills.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and current records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing information.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research and best practices in speech language pathology.
  • Team Participation: Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations and ethical standards for speech language pathology in schools.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech Pathology, Speech Audiology, Communications Disorders, or a related field.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Licensure: Maryland license for Speech and Language Therapy, or eligibility to become licensed.
