Job Title: Travel Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Tact Staff. As a Travel Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric respiratory care, with experience working in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) or pediatric medical-surgical unit. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing respiratory care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients and develop respiratory care plans to meet their individual needs
  • Implement respiratory care interventions, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and suctioning
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust care plans as needed
  • Provide education to patients and families on respiratory care and disease management
Requirements:
  • Current California RCP License
  • RRT national credential required; RRT-NPS preferred
  • 2 years experience at a dedicated Peds facility
  • Experience with trachs and vents, suctioning and oxygen
  • ICU experience
  • BLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
  • NRP (AHA) - Must be Advanced; Essential no longer accepted
Work Environment:

You will be working in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) or pediatric medical-surgical unit, providing care to patients with a range of respiratory conditions, including asthma, bronchiolitis, and pneumonia.
