MelroseWakefield Healthcare is a leading healthcare provider in the north suburban Boston area, offering a range of clinical care and services. We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiologic services to hospital patients, both in-patient and out-patient, in accordance with physicians' orders.
- Work under the direction of the Manager to provide high-quality imaging services.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of radiologic equipment and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
- Graduation from an AHA-approved school of Radiologic technology.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Licensure by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health/Radiation Control Program.
- CPR certification.
- Two years of directly related student experience to become proficient in all duties performed.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to manage physically aggressive patients.
- Ability to transport patients from wheelchair or patient slide board to table.
- Ability to move portable x-ray machine to examination site.
- Ability to lift 30-35 pounds with assistance using good mechanical body position.
- Ability to wear protective lead aprons and lead gloves during examinations.
- Ability to perform tasks for a long period of time, i.e., special procedures.
- Manual dexterity to operate radiographic equipment.
