Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist Systems Engineer responsible for the deployment and maintenance of virtualized platforms within various infrastructures. This role involves:
- Implementing, documenting, and supporting IT systems management and associated technologies, including operating systems, storage solutions, virtualization, networking, and security technologies, both on-premises and in cloud environments.
- Managing multiple server instances in highly virtualized settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, troubleshoot, and manage both Windows and Linux servers.
- Work with Ubuntu 20+, including installation, configuration, and ongoing system management.
- Handle Windows Server 2019+ roles, focusing on installation, configuration, and system management.
- Configure networking devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Utilize virtualization platforms, particularly VMWare.
- Manage enterprise storage solutions, including Dell and NetApps.
- Deploy Linux and Windows-based desktop environments.
- Engage in architectural discussions and contribute to architecture development.
- Support Agile-based program management and the implementation of a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach.
- Lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and review process boards, including Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), Change Control Boards (CCBs), and various design reviews.
- Act as a technical expert in assigned areas.
- Provide administrative and technical support to leadership, internal teams, and external mission partners.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Poly.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant systems engineering experience.
- Certifications such as VMware VCP, CISSP, or other relevant credentials are advantageous.
