About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist Assistant to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organizational Skills: Organize rooms, stock linen, and maintain a clean and efficient environment.
  • Patient Care: Transport patients to and from Radiology, using two patient identifiers to ensure accurate identification.
  • Equipment Operation: Properly operate stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs, as well as radiographic equipment and accessories.
  • Communication: Respond to patients and visitors promptly and politely, and maintain effective communication with the Radiologic team.
  • Supply Management: Maintain office and medical supplies in all Imaging areas, and inform the team leader when supplies need to be ordered.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS Basic Life Support certification preferred upon hire.
Working Conditions

This role may involve periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads, exposure to physical altercations and verbal abuse, and the use of physical restraints. You may also be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights, as well as limited hazardous substances or body fluids.
