Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Front Desk Representative to join our team. As a Front Desk Representative, you will be responsible for greeting patients, registering them, and scheduling appointments while working closely with practice providers and staff to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner, providing any necessary instructions or directions.
- Accommodate patient needs, answer questions, and inform the back office of each patient's arrival.
- Verify and update patient insurance information in the system for each patient at each visit.
- Use the computer system to generate information necessary for billing, maintaining current understanding of patient medical insurance changes, including HMO and PPO coverage and copay levels.
- Collect copays/surgery deposits/balances, provide any forms needing completion, and obtain signatures as necessary.
- Answer telephone calls in a pleasant manner and deal with patient needs expeditiously.
- Process triage phone calls and direct to the appropriate medical personnel.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience working as a receptionist in a medical office is preferred.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a customer service setting, preferably six months of receptionist experience in a healthcare setting and experience with office equipment.
