Job Objective:

Supervise field teams to carry out roofing installations effectively and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

  • Recruit and select personnel to fulfill production requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive training to crew members to uphold safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct regular assessments to enhance the performance of Field Managers and crew members.
  • Design and implement career development programs for team members and Field Managers.
  • Utilize training resources offered by manufacturers.
  • Oversee the tools and materials necessary for each team.
  • Collaborate with Field Managers to review project scope, budget, and hours before commencement.
  • Act as a communication bridge between Field Managers and project management, addressing and resolving obstacles for teams promptly.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Verify and approve weekly timekeeping for teams by reconciling time records.
  • Review and authorize monthly expense reports.
  • Monitor daily team progress and labor against budget, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide insights during project transitions regarding estimated hours.
  • Complete incident reports and conduct investigations as required.
  • Ensure all Field Manager checklists are completed and daily progress reports are submitted.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Over 10 years of experience in commercial roofing, managing multiple teams.
  • OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within two months of hire.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Familiarity with local codes and regulations is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Experience with various roofing systems such as Coatings, Single Ply, Hot, and Metal roofing is a plus.
  • Certa training is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Work primarily occurs outdoors, requiring adaptability to extreme weather conditions.
  • Travel by car or plane is expected 50-60% of the time.
  • Physical demands include repetitive bending and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds, along with operating heavy equipment.
  • Frequent data entry requires manual dexterity and the ability to use office equipment.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and staff.
