Position Overview

As a Security Officer, your primary responsibility will be to safeguard the integrity of warehouse inventory, facilities, and personnel for a prominent online retailer.

  • Oversee access control for staff, guests, and contractors
  • Conduct regular foot patrols to prevent inventory loss
  • Execute bag and body searches utilizing metal detection equipment
  • Screen individuals with walk-through scanning devices
  • Address incidents with professionalism, including conducting searches
  • Assist customers with inquiries and requests
  • Maintain precise records through various management systems

This role guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week, following a 4-on / 4-off shift schedule that encompasses both day and night shifts. Although the distribution center operates around the clock, essential qualities for this position include teamwork, dependability, and adaptability.

Qualifications:

  • SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to remain composed under pressure
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, ideally within security
  • A minimum of five years of verifiable work history and references
  • Successful completion of a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards

Additional certifications and experience that would be advantageous include SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) license, First Aid training, and prior experience in similar positions.
