Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine, and checking for possible interactions. You will also be responsible for registering all related sales on assigned cash registers, collecting and handling cash, and performing other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash registers, collect and handle cash, and perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy systems and technology, and maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills and good computer skills.
