Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative team at Encino Hospital Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in the Perioperative department, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate patient care with surgeons and anesthesiologists, directing and guiding OR Technicians and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
  • Work with other departments to provide a continuum of care and collaborate with coworkers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow, and unit maintenance and organization.
  • Adhere to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures, participating in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services as required.
  • Act as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
  • Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
