Education Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Specialist to join our team at Science Academies of NY. As a key member of our instructional staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation
- Work closely with teachers to provide individualized support to students
- Participate in weekly meetings and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Implement classroom policies and procedures to promote a positive and productive learning atmosphere
- Lead students to and from specials and lunch
- Effectively manage student behavior and maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Certification preferred but not required; certification in ELA and Math a plus
- Experience working with diverse student populations or in an urban setting a plus
- Prior teaching experience preferred, but novice teachers encouraged to apply
- Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education

Compensation:
The compensation for this position is $170 per diem.
