Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Optical Sales Associate to join our esteemed team at NYU Winthrop. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail optics, coupled with a passion for sales, fashion, and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized experiences for clients to promote a variety of optical services.
  • Familiarity with different vision plans is advantageous.
  • Maintain and organize displays and inventory effectively.
  • Implement promotional strategies to enhance sales and brand visibility for NYU Winthrop Optical.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and services in the optical field.
  • Accurately measure lenses and adjust frames for optimal fitting.
  • Assist clients with education on frame selections, lenses, and other optical products.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess an Associate Degree or higher, hold a valid Optician license, and have a minimum of three years of experience in optical sales and vendor management. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to set, track, and achieve sales objectives, along with knowledge of the current optical market and contact lens fitting.

Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication with all organizational levels is essential.
