Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Associate to join our team in the Office of Research, Innovation & Economic Development. As a key member of our Core Facilities Program, you will be responsible for providing advanced financial support and business operations expertise to ensure the smooth functioning of our core facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of yearly budgets for the Core Facilities Program, developing and compiling data, and reviewing expense projections for accuracy.
  • Generate reports and assist the Business Manager with budget forecasting during the year and for end-of-year closeout, performing account analysis and providing monthly statistical reports summarizing account information.
  • Work closely with the Business Manager to prepare core facility rate proposals, compiling expense and revenue data, and reviewing all core lab-submitted data for accuracy.
  • Handle day-to-day financial operations for the Core Facilities Program, initiating, reviewing, verifying, and certifying purchase orders, invoices, internal transfer vouchers, and deposits in IRIS/DASH.
  • Prepare periodic sales tax report data, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of report data.
  • Manage the Stratocore billing system, users, and groups, assigning correct user rates and tax status, verifying internal users' charge numbers, and external users' payment methods and AP contact information.
  • Perform inventory checks of equipment and computers assigned to the department, updating inventory changes in the IRIS/DASH system.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree
  • Four years of relevant work experience
