Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Riverside Health System in Smithfield, Virginia.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Nursing Manager, Supervisor, RN, LPN, and ultimately be responsible to the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks essential to the direct care of residents according to facility policy and procedures.
  • Allow residents choices within limits of capability, considering safety and dignity issues.
  • Assist with ensuring hygiene, appearance, safety, and nutritional needs of residents are met.
  • Provide resident care and services to maintain or improve resident functional status to highest practical ability.
  • Document accurately in EMR resident's ADL care, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder habits, and behaviors.
  • Follow universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation, and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.

Requirements:

  • 1 year Nurse Aide work experience.
  • Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) upon hire.
  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 days.
  • First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 days.
