Key Responsibilities (1st Shift)

· Must be prepared to operate in a highly organized work setting, ensuring adherence to safety and operational protocols.

· Guarantee prompt processing of products through the laboratory workflow.

· Maintain a thorough understanding of laboratory functions and all related documentation and procedures.

· Operate essential analytical equipment (GCs, FTIRs, process analyzers, standard blenders, etc.).

· Report any issues with analytical instruments and assist in their subsequent repairs.

· Accurately record and document analytical results in all required logs.

· Comply with ISO 9001:2008 standards, including all calibration requirements for laboratory operations.

· Observe work areas for unsafe practices and conditions, reporting any hazards to the supervisor. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations.

· Ensure compliance with the established personal protective equipment (PPE) program for all laboratory tasks.

· Engage in ongoing initiatives for the continuous improvement of analytical processes.

· Conduct statistical analyses as necessary to uphold quality control standards.

· Assist in the investigation of production discrepancies and collaborate with the Quality Team to manage non-conforming materials.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

· Associate's Degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry preferred).

· Experience in laboratory operations within a production environment, particularly in quality assurance, is preferred.

· Familiarity with formal analytical validation programs is desirable, along with knowledge of hazardous materials.

· Hands-on experience with GC maintenance, method repair, and troubleshooting of GC/gas systems is preferred.

· In the absence of direct analytical experience, relevant experience in specialty or electronic gas production operations at a minimum of Process Technician I is acceptable.

· Should possess knowledge of analytical operations related to liquefied or high-pressure gas products utilizing GCs, FTIRs, and process analyzers.

· Ability to contribute to departmental production and quality objectives as well as an accelerated continuous improvement program.

· Experience with statistical process control (SPC/SQC) or other quality measurement techniques is advantageous.

· Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and SAP.

· Capability to independently plan and execute laboratory schedules.
