Position Overview:

We are seeking a committed Internal Medicine Preceptor to oversee and mentor our rotating residents in an outpatient clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance clinical responsibilities with resident supervision, maintaining a 50/50 workload.
  • Manage a patient caseload of 20-25 individuals each day.
  • Supervise a team of up to 4 residents, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with precepting standards as outlined by regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Internal Medicine Program Director and administrative staff to meet the objectives of the healthcare facility.
  • Assist in assessing residents' competencies in managing chronic conditions and preventive care.
  • Guide residents in developing actionable strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Provide constructive feedback on resident performance and uphold documentation accuracy.
  • Oversee outpatient procedures in alignment with residency training requirements.
  • Engage in an exciting opportunity at a new residency clinic that is currently being established.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Internal Medicine.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
  • Ability to secure a medical license and DEA registration in Pennsylvania.
  • Experience in resident education is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Quality Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in outpatient Internal Medicine procedures is advantageous.
