Job Description

The Housekeeping Specialist will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the overall success of our facilities maintenance program.

Responsibilities
  1. Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our residential areas, including dusting, mopping, and polishing fixtures and equipment.
  2. Equipment Operation: Safely operates various cleaning equipment, including mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, and shampooers, to maintain optimal cleaning standards.
  3. Trash and Waste Management: Effectively collects and disposes of trash and waste materials, minimizing waste and promoting sustainability in accordance with our environmental policies.
  4. Maintenance and Repair: Conducts routine maintenance tasks, including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors, as well as making minor repairs to furniture and equipment, to ensure a safe and functional living environment.
  5. Supply Management: Manages supply packs and linens, ensuring that they are always available and accurately accounted for, to meet the needs of our residents and staff.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintains accurate records of linen distribution and usage, providing valuable insights for future planning and decision-making.
  7. Emergency Response: Responds promptly to emergencies and incidents, prioritizing resident safety and well-being, and working collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues efficiently.
  8. Team Collaboration: Works effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals, provide exceptional customer service, and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Previous Experience in Housekeeping or Facilities Maintenance: Preferred.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Essential for effective collaboration and communication with colleagues and residents.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
