We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Resilient Healthcare. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions to develop, recover, or maintain their daily living and work skills.

About the Role:

This PRN Occupational Therapist position is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about providing effective and client-centered services. You will be responsible for assessing clients' needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans to address their specific requirements.
  • Select and adapt occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to direct interventions and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Apply evidence-based practices to maximize safety and performance in ADLs and IADLs, and educate clients on strategies to break down tasks into achievable components.
  • Evaluate clients' home and other environments, and provide recommendations for alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train clients and their caregivers on its use.
  • Observe, note, and report on progress towards long- and short-term treatment goals.
  • Collect data and document processes followed, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with clients, families, and caregivers, providing regular follow-up and support.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Occupational Therapist, with a strong understanding of principles and practices of occupational therapy.
  • Excellent knowledge of assessment tools, such as the Katz ADL scale and Lawton IADL scale.
  • Ability to manage patients with diverse personalities and backgrounds, maintaining a patient-focused approach.
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Valid license to practice occupational therapy and a Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
