Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Job Description

Cynet Health is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team. As a PICU Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the Intensive Care Unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Utilize advanced medical technology for patient management and care, including monitoring and interpreting vital signs and laboratory results.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including documentation of patient progress and outcomes.
  • Uphold safety and infection control standards, ensuring a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Deliver compassionate and effective communication to patients and their families, including education and support.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
  • Active compact license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
