Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Residency Program

Our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Residency Program is designed to provide new nurse graduates and experienced nurses with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Program OverviewThe Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Residency Program is a 12-month program that includes a Human Resources orientation, a Unit-Based orientation, and acute and critical care tracks. The program is designed to provide nurse residents with the opportunity to transition into the role of a professional nurse under the guidance and support of our clinical nursing staff, nurse educators, and program facilitators.

To be eligible for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Residency Program, applicants must have a current Registered Nurse license in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, and a minimum of 0 years of experience. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and previous experience in a pediatric or critical care setting.
