Position Summary

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the product strategy for Solo Stove and developing the innovation roadmap for key product categories. This role involves leading new product development initiatives from conception through to market launch.

The ideal candidate will foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, including Brand, Engineering, Design, and Supply Chain. The successful individual will make informed decisions based on consumer insights and market opportunities. A curious mindset and strong problem-solving skills are essential for ensuring project success. Additionally, this role requires a champion for innovation, possessing a growth-oriented mindset and a passion for teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and commercialize strategic projects within assigned areas, ensuring timely execution that drives business growth.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, examining portfolios, IP/patents, pricing, and industry trends to identify opportunities.
  • Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities.
  • Recommend pricing strategies and manage Cost of Goods and Gross Margin targets for new products.
  • Create Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), communicate feature and benefit overviews, and develop competitive analysis grids across key categories.
  • Validate opportunities through qualitative and quantitative consumer research.
  • Enhance processes and tools to support successful product development initiatives.
  • Promote and nurture a culture of innovation within Solo Stove.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business is required; MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in new product development within consumer products, encompassing both idea generation and commercialization.
  • Proven experience in product lifecycle management and creating product roadmaps for consumer durables.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with Brand, Marketing, Engineering, Design, Finance, Manufacturing, and third-party suppliers.
  • Creative and resourceful problem-solving skills, combined with an analytical and detail-oriented approach.
  • Experience working with external agency partners in Strategy, Innovation, and Design.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong negotiation and both written and verbal abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
