About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to join our team at Walmart. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and delicious baked goods for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Player: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of bakery operations, including inventory management, quality control, and customer service.
  • Be an Expert Baker: Plan and execute bakery production, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs, while following recipe measurement instructions and adhering to food safety standards.
  • Be a Tech-Savvy Baker: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, while utilizing handheld technology to make informed business decisions.
  • Be an Owner of Quality: Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, and preparing for seasonal events that impact bakery volume.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products, interact with associates to understand roadblocks, and assist in training to develop, influence, and inspire a team-oriented work style.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly wage range of $16.00 to $23.00, with additional compensation in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

  • 6 months' experience in fresh production area.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
