Job Title: Feeder Operator

At WestRock Company, we are seeking a skilled Feeder Operator to join our team. As a Feeder Operator, you will be responsible for operating the mechanical sheet feeder, assisting the press operator with setup, repair, and maintenance of the press, and performing various tasks to ensure efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clears the machine before and after each run, picks up and destroys foreign material, and empties waste receptacles.
  • Reviews job tickets, selects the proper paper, and loads and unloads paper, inspecting it for defects or damage.
  • Obtains ink from the ink room, fills ink fountains, and maintains proper ink levels.
  • Mixes water fountain solution, sets up the dampening system, and maintains proper water levels, checking PH balance and conductivity readings.
  • Sets up and operates the mechanical press feeder.
  • Assists the press operator with mounting plates, blankets, and packing.
  • Moves loads of printed and unprinted stock when necessary.
  • Performs routine adjustments during the press run and maintains a clean press area.
  • Completes ISO forms and quality checks accurately and on time.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, perform basic arithmetic, and pass a basic reading test.
  • Ability to meet and/or pass a mechanical test or demonstrate mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
  • Color vision and hue test requirements.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift truck license.
  • Good attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
