Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the mechanical sheet feeder to ensure efficient production
  • Assist the press operator with setup, repair, and maintenance of the press
  • Clear the machine before and after each run and remove all foreign material
  • Empties waste receptacles and maintains a clean work environment
  • Reviews job tickets and selects the proper type and quantity of paper
  • Loads and unloads paper, inspects for defects or damage, and obtains proper ink from the ink room
  • Maintains proper levels of ink and water, checks PH balance and conductivity reading, and sets up and operates the mechanical press feeder
  • Assists the press operator in mounting plates, blankets, and packing, and moves loads of printed and unprinted stock when necessary
  • Performs routine adjustments during the press run and completes all ISO forms and quality checks for each job
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all tasks and maintains a safe and clean work environment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, perform basic arithmetic, and pass a basic reading test
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and pass a color vision test
  • Ability to obtain a forklift truck license and maintain good attendance
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
