Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development
    • Develop and implement comprehensive land and water policy strategies that align with the Institute's mission and goals.
    • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions and recommendations.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of policy analysts and researchers to support the development and implementation of land and water policy initiatives.
    • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure the team is working effectively to achieve policy goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry leaders, and community organizations.
    • Engage with stakeholders to gather input and feedback on policy initiatives and recommendations.
  • Communication and Outreach
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the Institute's land and water policy initiatives.
    • Prepare and present policy briefs, reports, and other materials to stakeholders and the public.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in land and water policy development and implementation.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams and developing policy strategies.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective policy initiatives that drive positive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions.
