Job Summary

As a Mine Equipment Engineer at Kiewit, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's mining operations throughout North America. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, schedule, and budget for the utilization and reliability of mining equipment fleets. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify and address day-to-day and long-term issues related to equipment maintenance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement equipment planning and scheduling strategies to optimize fleet utilization and reduce downtime
  • Manage spare parts procurement and inventory to ensure timely delivery and minimize costs
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and parts to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Use data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement in equipment reliability and maintenance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or heavy equipment technology
  • 1+ year of experience in equipment planning, scheduling, and maintenance in a mining or heavy civil environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems and CAD modeling programs is a plus
