Job Summary:

Principal Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care:
    • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with ocular and visual disorders, including those affecting the eyelid, orbit, and visual pathways.
    • Review and synthesize comprehensive data pertinent to patient health.
    • Coordinate and interpret information to make informed decisions regarding patient care.
    • Provide education and intervention to patients and their families.
    • Collaborate with patients to enhance their health and well-being.
    • Practice with consideration for cultural diversity and legal responsibilities.
    • Document patient interactions electronically in accordance with licensure.
    • Engage in a multidisciplinary approach to case management.
    • May provide care in various clinical settings.
    • Participation in on-call rotation may be required.
    Quality:
    • Utilize quality improvement tools to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes.
    • Participate in peer review and quality assurance initiatives.
    • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine required.
  • Completion of an accredited residency training program in Ophthalmology required.
  • Licensed Physician in MN required upon hire.
  • ACLS-BLS certification required within 180 days.
  • PALS certification may be required depending on business unit.
  • NRP certification may be required depending on business unit.
  • Licensed Physician in WI required upon hire.
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate required upon hire.
  • Prescription Monitoring Program registration required upon hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required upon hire.

Medium Work:
