The Director of Medical Staff Services plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Medical Staff Office. This key position is responsible for coordinating medical staff activities, serving as a liaison between medical staff, nursing staff, and administration, and ensuring compliance with hospital accreditation and licensure requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage the Medical Staff Office, ensuring efficient and effective operations
  • Coordinate medical staff activities, including credentialing, privileging, and peer review
  • Serve as a liaison between medical staff, nursing staff, and administration, facilitating communication and collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with hospital accreditation and licensure requirements, including preparation and submission of necessary documents
  • Direct medical staff credentialing process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of applications
  • Lead education and training initiatives for medical staff officers and committee chairs, promoting compliance with medical staff bylaws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of progressive management experience in Medical Staff, with a focus on credentialing and privileging
  • CPMSM certification
