Job Title: Speech Language Pathology Specialist
">About the Role:
">We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathology Specialist to join our team at Regency Integrated Health Services. As a Speech Language Pathology Specialist, you will conduct assessments and reassessments of rehabilitation needs and potential, planning, implementing, and supervising therapeutic programs to improve or restore communicative and swallowing abilities.
">Responsibilities:
">- Conducts assessments and reassessments of the patient's communication and swallowing disorders by applying diagnostic and prognostic procedures.
- Plans, implements, and supervises an individualized therapeutic program designed to restore and/or improve communicative activities of daily living, and to treat swallowing disorders.
- Coordinates and collaborates with the Rehab Director, or designated professional, to ensure integration of the therapeutic program in the plan of care.
- Guides and teaches the patient in techniques, exercises, or precautions designed to improve the patient's ability to swallow and communicate.
- Observes, records, and reports the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in the patient's condition or treatment.
- Instructs other agency personnel and patients' family members in activities of speech therapy in which they may safely and effectively assist the patient.
- Participates in patient case conferences to coordinate the patient's plan of care and promote positive therapeutic outcome.
- Participates in continuous assessment and evaluation of the agency via Quarterly Record Review, or the quality Assurance/ Improvement Program.
- Falls within state guidelines and maintains appropriate documentation when supervising an Assistant in speech.
- Maintains code of ethics set by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
Requirements:
">- Master's Degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent) from a University program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association.
- Current licensed by the state of Texas to practice as a Speech-Language-Pathologist.
- Has been granted a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
- One (1) year experience in Speech Language Pathology in a home health setting preferred.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
