Job Summary:

The GBD Personal Guide - Foster Care is a critical role within Elevance Health, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our members. As a trusted advisor, you will facilitate and coordinate resolution with internal and external contacts to satisfy a member's needs. Your expertise in interpreting plan benefit design and resolving complex claim, benefit, and enrollment issues will be invaluable in ensuring our members receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and coordinate resolution with internal and external contacts to satisfy a member's need.
  • Interprets plan benefit design; resolves complex claim, benefit, and enrollment issues.
  • Performs research to respond to inquiries and interprets policy provisions to determine the most effective response.
  • Increases member engagement into appropriate programs and offerings.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and educator on healthcare-related inquiries.
  • Coaches members on ways to reduce health risks and compliance by scheduling appointments or enrollment in programs.
  • Prepares reports to document case and compliance updates.
Requirements:
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years of the company's customer service experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Work Environment:

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
