Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Care Executive to join our team at Kaizen Lab Inc. as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or Public Administration and have a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, senior living, or related fields.

About the Role:

  1. Craft and execute forward-thinking strategies to enhance our senior living and healthcare services.
  2. Partner closely with department directors to align operations with organizational goals.
  3. Stay ahead of healthcare trends and regulatory changes to maintain a competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision & Leadership: Develop and implement long-term plans to drive growth, improve quality, and increase efficiency in our senior living and healthcare services.
  • Operational Oversight: Collaborate with Medical Care Facility Administrator to manage day-to-day skilled nursing operations, optimize shared services teams, and oversee The Cottages (Assisted Living), Independent Living, and inpatient/outpatient therapy services.
  • Board & Community Engagement: Serve as primary liaison to DHHS Board, delivering regular updates on strategic initiatives, financials, and performance, and cultivate strong relationships with community partners, local government, donors, and other healthcare organizations.
  • Marketing & Fundraising: Develop and guide marketing strategies to promote our programs and community impact, and support fundraising efforts in collaboration with Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation, Inc.
  • Fiscal Accountability: Direct the development and monitoring of operating/capital budgets to ensure financial sustainability, manage reimbursement models, negotiate union contracts, and oversee risk management programs.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, present Board matters in a timely manner, and offer transparency and informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or Public Administration.
  • Licensure: Nursing Home Administrator License (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership in healthcare, senior living (preferred), or related fields, with demonstrated success in strategic planning, operational management, and board governance.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities, including capacity to develop and lead high-performing teams.
  • Financial Acumen: Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and reimbursement models within a healthcare or long-term care setting.
  • Community-Focused: Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships with community stakeholders, donors, and public officials.
