Job Summary:

As a Registered Dietitian at Good Shepherd Health Care, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and nutrition services. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to join our team as a Clinical Dietitian - Patient Care Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen patients for nutritional problems and implement the nutrition care process for patients with nutrition diagnosis.
• Foster continuity of care across the continuum of care and provide nutrition education to patients and family members on appropriate food selections and eating behaviors to accomplish patient goals.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and supervise diet clerks and educate staff regarding therapeutic diets.
• Act as a liaison between the patient and the kitchen and participate in the daily patient rounds (care conference).

Requirements:

• BS degree in food and nutrition/dietetics from an institution accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics B.
• Dietetic internship or CUP program.
• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration for the American Dietetic Association is required. Oregon license required.

Working Conditions:

Inside environment, protected from the weather but not necessarily temperature changes. Outside environment when walking from one building to another. Subject to temporary exposure to refrigerator and freezer temperatures. Subject to exposure to infection, contagious disease, hazardous materials and equipment. Variable noise levels.
