Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Envision Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.

Responsibilities
  • Takes patient vital signs, medical histories, and prepares patients for tests or examinations.
  • Assists physicians during exams, calls in prescriptions to pharmacies, and prepares patients for X-rays.
  • Communicates effectively with physicians and APPs to discuss patient concerns and coordinate care.
  • Performs basic medical procedures, including cleaning and dressing patient wounds and removing sutures and staples as directed by the APP or Physician.
  • Coordinates with patients to schedule appointments and medical procedures, processes insurance forms, and updates patient charts and records.
  • Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor when answering phones and greeting patients, co-workers, and physicians.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience or recently obtained Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Medical Assistant Certification/License is a plus, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of eClinicalWorks is also preferred.
