Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Sous Chef, the individual is responsible for upholding the standards set forth in the preparation and presentation of culinary offerings, ensuring quality, aesthetics, and hygiene.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Sous Chef and Cook in maintaining quality and portion accuracy of food items.
  • Exhibit flexibility and readiness to work across various kitchen stations.
  • Foster positive guest interactions; effectively address customer feedback.
  • Assist fellow kitchen staff with their daily tasks.
  • Prepare food production in alignment with the standards established by the Restaurant Chef.
  • Ensure proper labeling, rotation, storage conditions, and environments are adhered to.
  • Aim to minimize overproduction and unnecessary purchasing.
  • Maintain rigorous inventory control of food production.
  • Guarantee that production and storage areas comply with local and state health regulations.
  • Encourage positive relationships with the public and fellow employees at all times.
  • Uphold a clean, safe, and hazard-free workspace within assigned areas.

Qualifications

  • Work duties are primarily conducted in the back-of-house area of the casino, which may be fast-paced and noisy. There may be occasions where movement through the Casino Floor is necessary, exposing the employee to various environmental factors associated with the casino.
  • While executing job responsibilities, the employee is often required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach with arms, communicate, and utilize their senses of taste and smell. The role may involve lifting and/or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
