Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient nutrition status and develop cost-effective nutrition care plans
  • Teach informational classes and provide nutrition education counseling
  • Help coordinate bariatric support group classes and maintain ongoing communication with referring physicians
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans, assist patients in setting realistic health goals, and provide documentation of nutrition care plans
  • Identify opportunities to increase patient, physician, and community awareness of outpatient nutrition services
  • Prepare and deliver community nutrition education programs and maintain accurate records of appointments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in foods, human nutrition, or dietetics, or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a postgraduate dietetic program and registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Mandatory Reporter certification and CPR certification
  • One year of experience as a clinical dietitian, preferably in an outpatient setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work as a team member
