About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trust and Estate Litigation Attorney to join our team in Seattle. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for handling complex trust and estate litigation matters, providing expert advice to clients, and collaborating with a team of attorneys and support staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Representing clients in trust and estate litigation matters, including will contests, trust disputes, probate litigation, and fiduciary duty claims.
  • Conducting comprehensive legal research and drafting complex legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
  • Providing expert advice to clients on potential legal risks and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in a manner that serves their best interests.
  • Collaborating with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the efficient and effective handling of trust and estate litigation matters.
Requirements:
  • A JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • A current license to practice law in the state.
  • A minimum of 4 years of civil litigation experience - experience in trust and estate litigation strongly preferred.
  • Excellent research and drafting skills, with a keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with a proven ability to represent clients effectively in court.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and work collaboratively with a team.
  • A high level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • The ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to continuing legal education and professional development.
  • Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • A competitive compensation package estimated at $180,000-$240,000 per year.
